Here’s My Story

Hello, I’m Ozgu Karadut.

My next chapter begins at Durham University, where I will study LLB (Hons) Law at Durham Law School. I look forward to deepening my understanding of law, broadening my perspective, and taking the first steps towards my future career.

I completed my International Baccalaureate (IB) education at Schaffhausen International School in Switzerland, an experience that strengthened both my academic foundation and international perspective.

Alongside my academic journey, sports and the arts have always been an important part of my life. I played volleyball for VC Kanti in Switzerland’s 3rd League and have also enjoyed tennis, swimming, rowing, skiing, and trekking. I have been playing the piano since a young age, and music continues to hold a special place in my life.

Graduating from high school in May 2026 marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter. I look forward to continuing my academic journey at university with curiosity, determination, and a passion for learning.

Participated in an intensive summer programme at University College London, exploring key concepts of law through lectures, case studies, and collaborative projects in an international academic environment.

Sports & Outdoor Adventures

Volleyball

Volleyball has played an important role in my personal development. During my time at VakıfBank Volleyball Club, I served as a team captain in tournaments, strengthening my leadership and teamwork skills. Later, I had the opportunity to compete in the Swiss 3rd League with VC Kanti Volleyball Club, gaining valuable international experience and adapting to a new sporting environment.

Skiing

Rowing has taught me discipline, endurance, and the importance of working in harmony with others. It has strengthened my determination, resilience, and ability to stay focused while pursuing a common goal.

Trekking

Trekking gives me the opportunity to explore new places and appreciate nature. Every hike reminds me of the importance of persistence, curiosity, and embracing new experiences.

Travel

Travelling allows me to discover new cultures, broaden my perspective, and learn from different people and places. Every journey inspires me to grow both personally and globally.
